History

My great-great grandfather David Henry and I share two loves. One is adventure in the great outdoors and the other is building.

David Henry was on his way to Elizabethtown, New Mexico to try his luck at gold mining. Upon arriving in Trinidad Colorado in 1867 David heard that the gold strike was a “bust”. He decided to put down roots there and work at his trade; stone masonry.

During his thirty year career in Trinidad the Jaffa Opera House was one of his many projects. My work is on a smaller scale but with the same attention to craftsmanship.

I came to Colorado in 1981, to pursue a career in geology and to be in the great outdoors. When the oil and gas industry went bust in the mid eighties, I found myself looking for a new line of work. My lifelong passion of woodworking which I learned from my father was to become my full time work.

I started out working in commercial construction then moved on to residential. Eighteen years ago I started my own business doing residential remodeling. I found remodeling work better suited my attention to detail and my love of true craftsmanship.
